By Deborah Ruddell, Illustrated by Robin Luebs (2010) Simon & Schuster, Children’s Publishing Division, New York, NY.

Lulu is a very particular pig!  One night her slumber is disrupted by her prankster friends.  In a fit of frustration Lulu reacts unexpectedly and trouble ensues.  Robin Luebs’ extraordinary illustrations playfully capture the drama. Not only is Who Said Coo a great springboard for a discussion about mindful listening, but it affords an opportunity to consider a host of social-emotional topics:   tone of voice, sensitivity to the feelings of others, forgiveness, reconciliation... and ultimately the importance of a good-night’s sleep!
