Unrolling Your New Rug

When first opened, you’ll need to roll out the rug and give it time to flatten. It can help to place something on the edge of the rug to help it stay flat. It usually takes about ____ to flatten. Once unrolled, a new rug may have a wrinkle or bulge due to being tightly rolled during shipment. This is common and can be easily fixed:

  1. Lay the rug as flat as possible.
  2. Using a broom handle or similar pole, start in the center of the wrinkle and use a sweeping motion to push one half of the wrinkle to the left.
  3. Repeat, pushing the remaining half of the wrinkle to the right side of the rug.

This method will help the rug relax and lie flat.
